Our Story
Mosadi Khumo is an event created by Khumo Studios to empower and engage women in the creative industry and business. It aims to celebrate and elevate women by providing networking opportunities and showcasing impactful women in their respective fields.
The target audience is women in the creative industries, businesses, and entrepreneurs. The event includes speakers, poets, and dancers, as well as musical performances by Batswana women. It will also feature stalls for women-run businesses for promotional purposes.
The ultimate goal is to create a supportive network among women in the industry and contribute to the development of film and TV in Botswana through the participation of women who are already involved. Mosadi Khumo is all about recognizing, applauding, educating, and encouraging women in our society.
A Celebration of Women In The Arts
To many, ‘Mosadi Khumo’ is the definition of ‘Woman'. She is a rare gem; one that was carefully designed with the Power to Build, Multiply, Help and to Bless. She is the Rock – the foundation of every household and consequently communities, societies and nations. Hence the Setswana riddle saying, “Mosadi ke thari ya sechaba”.
